I have put together a concept album using the songs that I like that details Death's life. This is the track list and place the songs have in his story.

session - the birth of death
Left behind - the fake backstory of death that satan told him.
great big white world - when Death discovered what the world was actually like when he was 5(000) years old.
cryptorchild - when death realizes that the place he is growing up in isn't the best place to be when he was 7(000) years old.
head like a hole - when death rebels against satan at 10(000) years old.
the beautiful people - death's observations of the overworld at 13(000) years old.
bleed - when death's raw power is unleashed at 15(000) years old
Violence Fetish  - Death's repeatedly bottled up and unleashed feelings at 16(000) years old.
a warm place - when death finds a mask and scythe at 16(743) years old.
The Becoming - when death's mask cracks at 17(000) years old. In my story, He is talking to himself.

STORY:
Death was created because the Devil had a lot of raw matter from the space time continuum left over. He created a being with the purpose of doing half of his dirty work for him. He named this creature Death and told him to go out and harvest souls, half of which he could devour to survive. Death lived in the underworld until he was 10(000) years old. He rebelled against the devil and his slave-driven rule over the underworld at this age and then fled to earth. He lived on the surface, making new discoveries and surviving off of souls of people who were ready to die. But then, something horribly wrong happened when he was 15(000) years old. He felt a surge of energy explode out of his body as the reality around him slowly faded to nothing. He saw a world of hatred and despair, but he couldn't do anything to fix it. all he felt was uncontrollable hatred. He woke up on a mound of dead bodies and ectoplasm, wondering what had just happened. He lived with these uncontrollable bursts of energy until he was 16(643) years old. He found a scythe and the materials strong enough to make a mask capable of keeping his raw energy under control. Two (thousand) years later, he is a rogue reaper surviving off of the souls of dying people. He can't stop doing what he does because if he did balance would be lost on earth and people would live until they decayed alive from the inside out.
